But where else could I start than with my own end of the world playlist. That’s right, this is my Last Lost Mixtape, a place to get to know me on the deepest, musical level.

I’ve always been an album girlie. I find it so hard to pick out singles and individual songs – don’t get me wrong, sometimes I’ll latch on to a track so viscerally that it is all I can listen to, on repeat, for days – but most of the time, I’d much rather sit inside a whole project and spend 40–plus minutes with an artist, riding through the waves of their creativity and storytelling.

I try to listen to at least one or two new albums, in full, every single day. The only rule, it has to be from start to finish, in the order the artist prescribed it. There is something so magical about being able to enjoy an entire album in that way.

I think that is part of the fuel that inspired me to finally turn my microphone on and take the idea of The Last Lost Mixtape out of my brain and share it with you.

Mostly, it’s just because I love conversation – I love getting into people’s brains and finding out the things they are most passionate about, but also it’s because I love music and I love albums and I want to share the beauty of this glorious vessel for storytelling and memory and feeling together.

So here we go, The Last Lost Mixtape finally exists. And it’s yours as much as it is mine.

No pressure, right? You’re only curating the soundtrack for the end of the world — the final mixtape for all of humanity.

It’s a conversation I’ve had sitting around loungerooms with friends, at the earliest hours of the morning, usually a bottle of wine in hand and it’s always a question that sparks debate, dives into nostalgia, and brings about beautiful, deep conversations about life and memory and everything in between.

Every episode, I’ll sit down with incredible, creative people —musicians, artists, maybe even someone you’ve never heard of— and we’ll dive into their ultimate picks. These are the records that shaped their lives, the ones they keep coming back to, and the ones they simply can’t leave behind. That's what The Last Lost Mixtape is all about.

Because music is so much more than just sound, it’s memory. It's intrinsically linked to some of the most important moments of our lives. It's the song playing on the first day of summer, the song you hear at midnight on new years eve, the first dance at your wedding, the first song you hear when you go through a breakup. It’s tied to the moments that matter most.

And I want to use the memories and emotions and stories linked to music alongside the idea of the absolute chaos of the end of the world to build these playlists, these ultimate, most personal collections of music and while we do that, get to know some incredibly interesting people on a deeper level.
